For anyone who has not heard Leon E. Kinasiewicz MD passed recently. Leon was a member of Escanaba Rotary for more than 32 years. Although he left Escanaba after retirement, he maintained his Club membership and support until his recent death. Leon is a former Club President, long-time Trust board member and financial contributor to Camp Harstad, Vino at the Casino, The Rotary Foundation and more. In addition, he created a scholarship for a local student planning to enter the medical profession. He was a good man and a great Rotarian.

The Club asks you to remember to make your annual contribution to the Rotary Foundation by June 1st each year.

The club board has made member participation in The Rotary Foundation (TRF) a priority. TRF is one of the largest and most accomplished charities in the world. Contributions need to be made by the end of June each year for our club to qualify to receive grants. Forms will be available at club meetings throughout the year or directly from Kel Smyth. If you already have a form, our district number is 6220, our club number is 2642. You can either mail in the form or give it Kel, or simply log into your Rotary account at www.rotary.org to make your donation electronically.
The deadline for contributions this fiscal year (July 2025-June 2026) is June 30 2026.
Please help us again achieve 100% member contributions as we did in 2025 and please donate to this worthwhile cause. We need to achieve 100% participation. Every member needs to donate to The Rotary Foundation each year to be eligible for matching Rotary Grants!
