Delta County Seniors! Our Escanaba Rotary Club & Rotary Trust Scholarships give out scholarships annually, each spring, worth $12,000!
See the Daily Press, or your H.S. guidance counselor for an application or download the forms here. Please don't procrastinate - get it in early and relax on spring break! (We have received applications AFTER the deadlines, which is unfortunate, as those late applications will NOT BE CONSIDERED).
3 DIFFERENT COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED - See Below:
Our main $1,000 scholarship has FOUR separate winners each year, and our other two winners get $4,000 each!)
1) All Delta County Students, All Majors/Undeclared Majors, All Curriculums
Each recipient will receive $1,000 in their first year of college or trade school. The applications will be judged on the quality of the applicant’s essay about “Service Above Self” the Rotary motto.
Deadline for accepting this application is April 1st, 2024

2) Students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Scholarship for High School Graduates
Who can apply: High school seniors with a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that will be graduating from any high school in Delta County who is planning to pursue further education. Further education can include technical schools, community colleges, colleges, and universities. One recipient is annually.

Application deadline: April 1st (post marked or email dated)
Selection process: Candidates will be selected by the Rotary Trust Fund Scholarship Committee and reviewed with a staff specialist at the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District. Based on the recommendation of the specialist, candidate interviews may also be required. A recipient will be chosen based on a candidate’s potential for a successful college/extended education experience, their interview (if one was conducted), and the endorsement of the ISD specialist.
Funding: This Scholarship is funded by the Escanaba Rotary Trust Fund for Children with Special Needs.
3)Special Needs/Camp Harstad Professional Scholarship
Who can apply: Any high school senior graduating from a Delta County High School who is planning to pursue an associate, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree and focus their career on supporting special needs students is eligible to apply. Also, any Camp Harstad counselor is also eligible to apply. Career options include, but are not limited to, special needs teacher, paraprofessionals in Early Childhood Development, speech therapy, audiologist, school social worker, occupational therapist, audiologist, or behavior analyst. One candidate is selected to be the recipient of the scholarship annually.

GLOBAL GRANT GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP ($30,000)
The Rotary Foundation funds scholarships grants administer by Rotary Districts. The Rotary District 6220 Global Scholar Program provides $30,000 scholarship awards for graduate studies outside the USA.
REQUIRED AREAS OF FOCUS
In anticipation of The Rotary Foundation’s (TRF) 100-year anniversary in 2017, the TRF Trustees set out to develop a plan to move the foundation toward its second century of service. The plan, called the Future Vision Plan, focuses TRF-funded programs to specific areas where they will have the greatest impact by addressing priority world needs that are presently most relevant to Rotarians.
As a result, to be eligible for a Rotary District 6220 Global Grant Scholarship, applicants must have a background, intended graduate studies and future career plans related to at least one of the following focus areas:

- Passing grades (on average) and class registration must be provided in order to receive each semester’s check.
